How to Prepare for ATMA Entrance Exam?

The AIMS carries out the ATMA as the credible, all-inclusive single window test for admittance to various Post Graduate Management courses. The ATMA has been acknowledged by the MHRD, Government of India. This examination is carried out for candidate’s admission into post graduate management programmes. The candidate should have done bachelor degree in any discipline from the renowned institute or university. This entrance exam consists of 170 objective type questions and duration of this paper is 3 hours. The test paper contains 6 divisions. There is a separate time limit for each. The fixed time for each section is 30 minutes.

Structure of the Exam

The questions are from analytical, verbal and quantitative skills. The questions are followed by 4 answers and the candidate has to select the correct answer.

Syllabus of the Exam

The analytical section will get questions from data sufficiency, statement implication, cause effect, analogies. Questions are also asked from areas like odd man out, coding and decoding etc. They can study this from CAT or MAT. This book has many questions on analogies, data sufficiency, odd man out, etc. For this section, they can refer previous year question paper of different MBA entrance exam. Work on lot of puzzles, quizzes to improve your analytical and reasoning skills. The candidate will find more comprehension question in the verbal section. This is the most concerning section where they have to be more emphasize.

The candidate should read magazines and newspapers. It improves their English vocabulary. Moreover, they can watch English news and see how a word can be used in different ways. The quantitative aptitude section consists of basic mathematics questions and they can solve this problem easily. They can refer 10th and 12th standard maths book or they can refer study material given by the coaching institute. They should study short cut methods and more formulas. Moreover, they have to practice as many sums as possible. They should have studied probability and permutation problems thoroughly since those are really tough. The candidate should allot time for each section and study the portions thoroughly.
