AIMS ATMA 2012
AIMS Test for Management Admission is carried out by the Association of Indian Management Schools for the admission process of various post graduate courses like MBA, PGDM, and MCA. Many management and technical institutes across the county are accepting the ATMA score for their admission purpose. For the candidates the exam is a single window for the admission of various PG courses and for applying to various institutes, so a large number of students are participating in this exam.
Structure
The ATMA exam is of multiple choice objective type and has180 minute duration. The question paper consists of 170 questions and is divided into six major areas. The candidates must cover each area within half an hour. There are four options given to the student, they have to select the correct best answer and there will be negative marking for the each wrong answer.
- Analytical Reasoning Skills: 30
- Quantitative Skills: 30
- Verbal Skills: 25
Eligibility Criteria
The Minimum qualification required to attend the ATMA is graduation from nay recognized institute. There is no restriction in the required minimum marks or in the stream of study. The minimum age limit for taking the test is 21.
How to Apply?
ATMA has an online and offline application process. Candidates can download the prospectus first online. This can be availed from coaching centres like IMS as well as from ATMA office. The bulletin is also made available through some selected banks and branches. Usually the bulletin costs Rs.900/-. The same can also be obtained by mail from AIMS office.
After collecting the information kit the candidates need to carefully read the instructions given and understand the requirements of application. Then they can apply online by going to the official site of ATMA, www.atma-aims.org. The offline applicants can get the form with the bulletin only from the ATMA office at Hyderabad. The correctly filled offline application should reach the office before the deadline through ordinary post. The candidates are asked to e the printed copy or a Xerox copy of the completely filled application form for further reference.

A well prepared student can easily get through ATMA. Reading English news papers and Magazines will help you to improve your language skills. There are many reference books and study materials available. The key to success in ATMA is the time management; the students must cover the given questions with in the given time. Taking mock tests and practicing previous years papers can help a lot there. Coaching centres and online reference sites can help in giving you tips and tricks for cracking this exam. To solve the quantitative part one can apply the shortcut formulas and methods to save the time.
How and Where To Get the Results?
After the result is published the individual result will send to their personal mail ID. The copy of the detailed score card is sent to the candidates by post.
Score Validity
The score validity of the ATMA is one year and for the next academic year the students need to take the new ATMA for seeking admission.
