How to Prepare for ICFAI University Technology Entrance Exam?

The entrance exam for admission to the ICFAI University of Technology is conducted at the All India Level. It is conducted by a federation of universities. The students must have completed higher secondary exam or equivalent exam from a recognised school or institute.

Structure of ICFAI University Technology Entrance Exam

The ATIT consists of multiple choice objective type questions and duration of the exam is two hours. The students will be tested in areas such as Mathematics and also science subjects like Physics and Chemistry. They also need to be prepared in English. The students will be required to answer in OMR sheet. The same will be given at the time of the test.

There will be 50 questions in each of the core subjects of Physics, Mathematics and chemistry and 30 questions in English as per the syllabus indicated. The candidates will be short listed on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test.

Syllabus of exam

The mathematics subject will have questions related to the 12th standard. There will be questions from Permutation and Combinations, Sets, Matrices. Also there will be questions from Functions, Determinants, Quadratic Equations, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry and Dynamics. The chemistry subject covers the syllabus of states of matter, some basic concepts, second law of thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium, surface chemistry, molecules and environmental chemistry.

The Physics subject covers unit of measurement, work, energy and power, laws of motion, gravitation, solids and fluids, oscillation, waves, Heat and thermodynamics, electro magnetic induction and alternating currents, wave optics, ray optics, etc. The English subject covers the syllabus of sentence completion, diction, reading comprehension, formation of effective sentences, common errors and vocabulary. The candidate should cover all these portions thoroughly. They should prepare a time table and allot time for each section. They should start their preparation earlier so that they will get more time for revision and writing mock tests. They should go through sample question papers and previous year question papers. This will give them some clear idea about the entrance exam. The candidate should write model test every week and this will help them to know their preparation level. They can prepare from 12th standard book or they can refer online materials.
