Master of Science in Biochemistry is a master’s degree which deals with chemical reactions and combinations in biological process like reproduction, heredity, metabolism, growth etc. It also studies the effect of environment on the living organisms. It combines the subjects of medicine and chemistry and so it is also known as Medical Biochemistry. The course is mainly a two year course which is again divided into 4 different semesters. Sometimes the course duration may differ according to the university but the minimum time required to complete the course is two years. Admission to this course is made through entrance examinations which are carried out by many of the leading universities of the nation.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in any of the subjects like Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Animal Science or Medicine and Veterinary Sciences, Nutrition or Food Sciences or B.Sc. Agriculture, in Science stream are eligible for the M.Sc. Biochemistry entrance exam.
