How to Prepare for IRMA Entrance exam?

The IRMA is a premier educational institution which offers both doctoral and post graduate courses for candidates. The faculties of this Institute are well experienced and many of them are scholars of national and international repute. IRMA has good infrastructure and it has all facilities in the campus. The Entrance Exam will be conducted on the first week of November. Only those have completed their higher secondary exam from the recognized school or institute can apply.

Structure of IRMA Entrance Exam

There will be 200 questions which will have multiple choices. Also they will be objective type. A total of four sections will be there. It will be total of 2 hours duration. Each correct answer is awarded by one mark and for wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted. The questions are from

  • English comprehension
  • Quantitative Ability
  • Analytical Reasoning
  • Issue of social concern

Syllabus of IRMA Entrance Exam

The English comprehension section consists of 40 questions. This section is simple and also less time consuming. The 25 questions are on selection of replacement phrase, paragraph arrangement and cloze test. The remaining questions are on reading comprehension.

The Quantitative Ability section consists of 50 questions. The questions are from Interest, number system, ratio, percentage, one pie chart, one bar graph, Fractions, etc.

Analytical reasoning section covers the following topics: Data sufficiency, Odd man out, analogies, statement implication, cause effect, coding and decoding, etc. This section consists of 50 questions.

Issue of social concern consists of 60 questions. This section will test the valid interest of the candidates in rural management. The questions are based on Indian economy, rural economy, agriculture, Government rules and regulations and policy, etc.

Reference books for IRMA Entrance Exam

For Analytical reasoning section and also the Quantitative section they can practice from CAT or MAT books. Also there are banking entrance books like R.S Agarwal, Oswal, Ajay Singh etc which they can refer to.

Study Plan IRMA Entrance Exam

The candidate has to more concentrate on quantitative ability and analytical reasoning section. They have to memorize all the formulas and should practice all problems. For Analytical reasoning section, they can practice from CAT or MAT books. This has many questions on analogies, odd man out, data sufficiency, coding and decoding, etc. Time management is very important since this test has lots of questions. The candidate has to concentrate on rural issues and keep getting updated on the happenings. This Issue of social concerns are something different from other exams. The candidate has to solve model question papers every week. Analyze what mistakes you have done as well rectify those mistakes.
