How to Prepare for GGSIPU Law Entrance Test?
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University carried out a common entrance test every year for candidate’s admittance into a range of programmes in the university as well as in allied Institutes. The courses offered by this institute are BA LLB and BBA LLB courses. This University is the largest in New Delhi which offers different professional programmes. There are 620 seats available for both the courses. The candidate should have done higher secondary exam or equivalent exam from the recognized board or institute. They should have minimum of 50% marks in their qualification studies.
Structure of the GGSIPU Law Entrance Test
The Entrance test is held in June every year. The entrance exam includes objective type questions with several preferences. The candidate has to select the right answer from the given alternatives. The duration of this test is two and half hours. The questions are from Reasoning, Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge, English Language and Comprehension.
Syllabus of the GGSIPU Law Entrance Test
The English language and comprehension covers a course outline of synonyms, antonyms, reading comprehensions, idioms and phrases, prepositions, articles, tenses, correct grammar usage and their rules. The candidates have an option to study for the exam with the help of various online websites or they can refer some guides. They should read novels, magazines, newspapers to improve their vocabulary skills. The General knowledge covers geography, general science, History of India, current affairs, civics and economics. The legal aptitude section carries administration law, company law, basic law questions, law of torts, etc. To attend logical reasoning section, they have to practice data interpretation, definitely true or false statements, probably true or false statements, coding and decoding, etc.
Reference Books for GGSIPU Law Entrance Test
There are many books which students can refer for preparing in the GGSIPU Law Entrance Test. Some of them are CLAT by Lal and Mishra, Practise Papers for Law Admission Test by Gaurav Mehta etc. There are many othe books available in the market for preparing in the GGSIPU Law Entrance Test like Study Package for LLB Entrance Exam by AP Bhardwaj, Book of English Grammer by Dr. B. B. Jain etc.
They can study for the exam with the help of GRE, CAT or MAT books. This book will have many logical reasoning and comprehension questions.
Study Plan for the GGSIPU Law Entrance Test
The candidate has to organize time table and allot time for each section. They have to read newspapers and magazines to know about current affairs and legal news. They should study a lot as to build vocabulary and practice many language tests. This will help to improve their communication skills. The reasoning questions are designed to check candidate’s presence of mind. Candidates must also refer to previous year question papers. This will give a clear idea about the exam and its pattern. Some of the questions will be repeatedly asked every year. Candidates can thus prepare and study these questions thoroughly.
