Admission Procedure

The selection process will encompass:

Students who pass the admission test will be notified about the SPJIMR interview. It is carried out in January. Those who clear the 1st round shall be asked to participate in the 2nd round on the same day. The admission of the aspirants is done on the base of their marks secured in the CAT or XAT exams.

Structure for SPJIMR

The Xavier Admission test is an all India level exam. It is carried out by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute. The XAT paper is divided into 2.

• 1st part - objective type questions (students are given 4 options)
• 2nd part - essay writing
• Negative marking is present. 1/3 mark will be subtracted for wrong responses. The test has a session of 120 minutes.

Syllabus for SPJIMR

Paper has 200 objective style questions. Questions will be from topics like:

• Reading Comprehension
• Verbal Ability
• Data Interpretation
• Reasoning
• General Knowledge

Students can prepare themselves for the exam by reading journals and newspapers. They must also develop their English language skills. They can do so by conversing with their teachers and friends. They can also read English periodicals and papers. As Time management is an imperative aspect for all students, they can practice managing their time.
