Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University which is located in Hyderabad conducts engineering common Entrance Examination for the Diploma holders as well as B.Sc Mathematics graduates for admission to the various Engineering courses. The admission to the Engineering courses offered by the University is strictly on the basis of merit. The Diploma holders those who manage to secure good score in the ECET examination can get into the second year of the B. Tech course directly. JNTU also conducts an entrance examination in order to admit the employed diploma holders to B. Tech courses.

The question paper of ECET examination consists of objective type multiple choice questions. Each section consists of 100 questions which are of two hours duration. For every correct answer the candidate gets one mark and one mark is reduced for each incorrect answer.

Eligibility Criteria

The B.Sc graduates as well as the candidates those who have passed Diploma are eligible for getting into the second year of the B.Tech course through the entrance examination conducted by JNTU. The aspirant should hold a minimum of 55% aggregate either for degree or diploma examination. In order to appear for the examination, the age of the candidate be below 28 years.

How to Apply?

The engineering aspirants can obtain the prospectus and application form from all the head post offices across the state of Hyderabad by making a payment of Rs 300/- as application fees. The filled up application forms must be send to the specified address.
