KVM College of Pharmacy came into existence in the year 2010 and the college is imparting pharmacy education with affiliation from the Kerala University of Health & Applied Sciences from the academic year 2010-2011, previously it was affiliated to the Kerala University. The college is also approved by the All India Council of Technical Education.

Course details:

The only course offered by the KVM College of Pharmacy is Bachelor of Pharmacy with a sanctioned intake of 60 students per year. For seeking admission to this course, the minimum eligibility requirement is that candidates must have completed any of the following courses in English Medium with an aggregate of 50% of marks in the optional subjects:

Higher secondary examination from the Government of Kerala with mathematics or biology, chemistry and physics as optional subjects

Any other examination with mathematics/biology, chemistry and physics as optional subjects approved as equivalent to the above-mentioned course mentioned in previous point

In the case of candidates with physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics as optional subjects at their qualifying examination, the marks secured either in physics, chemistry & biology or in physics, chemistry and mathematics, whichever is higher will be taken into consideration. The duration of this course is four years with not less than 200 working days for each year and medium of instruction shall be English.

Library at the college:

KVM College of Pharmacy has a well-established library that includes journal section, reading section and separate sections for specialized subjects like general books, mathematics, computer, pharmaceutical management, biotechnology and pharmaceutical microbiology, pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry. The library is subscribing to 18 national journals and 7 international journals and nearly 14 e-journals. It has other facilities like reprographic section of modern printing and photocopying facilities.

Laboratories at the college:

The college has six well-equipped laboratories in such a way that students can put the theoretical knowledge gained by them into application effectively. All the experiments carried out in the laboratory offer an insight to the students to the new field of pharmacy and related areas.
