Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is doing service to the educational field right from the year 1972 as a state university. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has approved the university with A grade status. Right from its inception, the university has been adding several new UG and PG courses slowly and steadily and the university is also giving importance to research programmes leading to Ph. D, M. Phil and M.S degrees. The two constituent engineering colleges of the university each at Jagithyala and Hyderabad are coming under the direct governance of the university to offer technical education on behalf of the university.
