Thiruvalluvar University came into existence in the year 2002 and it was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Thiruvalluvar University Act 2002. The main aim of the university is to empower the society through higher education. During its initial stages, the university was offering education only through four of its departments namely economics, zoology, chemistry and physical education.
Now, the university is offering education through several other departments like department of Tamil, English, Medical Physics, Material Science, Bio-technology, Marine Sciences, mathematics, business studies and Ambedkar Studies. Thiruvalluvar University is offering courses under UG, PG and Ph. D level and the list of courses offered under these levels are given below:

Thiruvalluvar University is located in the city of Vellore and the jurisdiction of this university is spread over four districts of Tamil Nadu namely Villlupuram, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore and Cuddalore. At present, 83 colleges are offering education with affiliation from Thiruvalluvar University.

I have completed M.Sc., B.Ed., with 80% belong to SC catagory. and I am working Govt. Teacher. I eligible to do M.Phil part time.
Sir, I did m.sc maths with 53%, b.ed., m.phil., in maths… I belong to mbc community… So I am not eligible to write ugc net/set in maths… then i have completed m.a english with 57% den i did b.a english dual degree…. am i eligible to do ph.d part time in english…. n den to work in govt colleges… ps give me the details
