Mohammed Sathak Arts and Science College was established in 1991 as a co-educational institute which is affiliated to University of Madras. This college is approved by AICTE and is located at Sholinganallur, near Chennai city. The college has been approved as the self financing institute by the Government of Tamilnadu.

The institute has excellent infrastructure and is managed by Mohammed Sathak Trust which runs school, engineering college, Pharmacy College, nursing college, polytechnic college, and Physiotherapy College. The main goal of this college is to educate the under privileged children belonging to backward class. The college offers various graduate and post graduate courses in addition to 3 diploma courses. It holds around 2800 students from various communities.

Services:

The college library holds 15,000 volumes of books of various titles, other than journals and periodicals. The library also subscribes to Delnet. Each year the college produces University ranks and this is due to the training and quality education imparted by the faculty. The college also has two hostels for boys and girls separately. The institute also runs buses for transporting students from various parts of Chennai city. The college canteen offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food with quality.

The classrooms are well designed with state of art facility. The faculties are trained and well qualified. Each department has separate lab for imparting practical lessons to the students. The laboratories are managed by excellent instruments which are updated each year.
