M. S. RAMAIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE began its journey with a main mission to impart quality and standard higher studies to the students. The college was established three decades ago in 1979 and since then has grown and developed into an institution of repute and recognition, not only in India but in foreign countries alike. This institute is amongst the top colleges in India and provides a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the applicants.
Infrastructure or Campus:
The MS Ramaiah Medical College is spread over an area of 65 acres that accommodates modern facilities. The college is situated 7 kms away from city center and also provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The college has well equipped laboratories, library and well furnished class rooms for the students.

The college offers courses like MBBS, B.Sc. in: Medical Lab Technology and Radiography, PG in: Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anesthesiology, Radio Diagnosis and Pediatrics etc.
Admission Procedure:
The applicants have to clear an entrance exam conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. That is the way of getting admission in this college. The college grants admission through management quota or NRI quota also.
Placement:
The college provides on campus placements to its students. The students from this college have been placed in various national, multinational health care centers and hospitals of India.

I came to know that a common medical entrance test will be conducted 2011 on wards. I want to know how the private medical colleges take candidates for management quota seats . Is it on merit list of AIPMCET or by the management with capitation.
