Bachelor in computer application i.e. BCA is a three year graduation course offered by Nalanda Open University where at the end of each year an examination is held and part III is the final paper of BCA course held at the end of third year.

Division And Pattern of the paper:

In part three there are a total of nine papers. Four papers are partitioned into two sections namely theory and practical and one paper is completely devoted to project work. Every theory paper has two sections: - A written examination is conducted which is of 70 marks and class assignment carries 30 marks. There are three assignments given in class and out of which best two are evaluated for every candidate.

Practical papers may be conducted at the study centre itself or at any other place assigned by the university. Each practical paper also carries 100 marks

Time Duration

The time duration of each paper be it theory or practical is three hours.

Pattern of examination:

CS71 is a paper on numerical methods whereas CS72 is a paper on object oriented programming language namely C++, C#. CS73 deals with theory of computation and CS74 is another programming language paper i.e. java. Rest papers are on computer basics. In each paper there are ten questions out of which only five is to be answered.
