National Institute of Communicable Diseases MPH Entrance Exam 2012
The National Institute of Communicable Diseases was started in the year 1963. This institute was started with an objective to undertake extensive research to control communicable diseases. The National Institute of Communicable diseases is one of the top institutes that come under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
Structure of National Institute of Communicable Diseases MPH Entrance Exam
The entrance test is organized for time duration of 2 hours. The question paper of this examination consists of 120 objective type questions, where the candidate can choose the best answer from the given four alternatives. This exam has three sections. The first section contains questions from general aptitude, the second section carries questions related to Allied Health Sciences and the third section consists of questions associated with Public Health.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates those who have an MBBS degree from any of the reputed institutions can apply for his course. The aspirants those who possess the above said qualifications and are employed in a health institution or that is governed by the Central or State government, holding a minimum of 3 years experience can apply to the regular course in National Institute of Communicable diseases. Such candidates have to produce a letter from the employer at the time of the examination or while attending the counseling sessions. The age limit of the in service candidates should be below 45 years and the age of the applicants those who belong to the general category must be below 35 years.
How to Apply?
The application form along with the information bulletin for MPH entrance examination can be purchased on all the working days between the first week and third week of June. The aspirant has to pay an application fee of Rs.400- at the time of purchasing. The payment should be made in the form of demand draft in favour of “Director, NICD” and it must be payable at Delhi. The candidates can also obtain the same through registered post by sending a crossed DD of Rs.450/- to the Administrative Officer (I), National Institute of Communicable Diseases, 22 Sham Nath Marg, Delhi 110 054. The request along with the DD must reach the institute before the second week of June. The students can also download the application forms from the web portal of NICD. The filled up forms must be send along with a demand draft of Rs.400/- to the “Director, National Institute of Communicable Diseases”.
