NET Economics (Paper II) Papers
The National Eligibility test is conducted by the University Grants Commission. This test is necessary for becoming a lecturer or a Junior Research Fellow. The exam is held twice every year, in June and December. This exam is meant for humanities and some science subjects. The test for other science subjects is conducted jointly by the CSIR and UGC. This test is known as CSIR-UGC NET. Economics is one of the subjects. There are twp papers on Economics- Paper II and Paper III. The pattern of Paper II is described in the following paragraph.
Economics paper II is an objective test with 50 multiple choice type questions. Each question has four alternative answers out of which only one is correct. Students have to mark appropriate answer in the OMR answer sheet provided. Multiple answers are treated as wrong answers. There is no negative marking in the test. So students have to attempt all the questions. The questions may be matching type, true/false type, based on comprehension or assertion-reason type. Each question is of two marks, so the total marks of the exam are 100. The time allotted for the test is 1 hour and fifteen minutes.
