Nirma University Institute of Technology as the name implies acts as a constituent unit of the Nirma University. The institute acts as a leading institute for offering multi-disciplinary PG and UG courses in engineering and it was initially affiliated to the Gujarat University until the year 2003. Later it was brought under the control of Nirma University. The institute is located in a sylvan and peaceful surroundings at a distance of about 15 kms from the city of Ahmedabad and it is easily accessible from the capital city of the state of Gujarat Gandhinagar.

Admission capacity of Nirma University Institute of Technology:

For UG Courses, Nirma Institute of Technology is approved with an intake capacity of 60 students per year for Mechanical, instrumentation & control, information technology, electrical, civil and chemical engineering courses, while for other two UG courses, the admission capacity of the institute is 120 students per year. For MCA course, the admission capacity of the institute is 60 students per year, for M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, its admission capacity is 20 students per year, while for all other PG courses, the admission capacity of Nirma Institute of Technology is 18 students per year.

Industry Institution Interaction Cell:

III Cell was introduced by the institute for offering close link with industries and the purpose behind the establishment of this cell is to identify the gap between the requirement of the industry and end product of the institution. The cell acts as a bridge between the institute, real world and the industry and one of its objective is to offer programmes meeting the requirements of continuing education of industrial personnel.
