Maharashtra Gramin Bank came into existence in the year 2008 as a regional rural bank. The bank was actually established as a result of the amalgation of two Regional Rural Banks named Aurangabad Jalna Gramin Bank and Thane Gramin Bank. The head office of the bank is located at Nanded. The bank is actually sponsored by Bank of Maharshtra. There are approximately six regional offices of the bank with around 327 branches spreaded in different districts. Parbhani Dsitrict has the maximum number of branches of of the bank i.e. 61 branches. Thane District has only 20 branches while Jalgaon District has only branch of the bank.

Maharashtra Gramin Bank invites applications for making the appointments of eligible candidates as Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II, Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I- Group ‘A’ and Office Assistant (Multi Purpose) - Group ‘B’. Only eligibel Indian Citizens should apply for the specified positions in Maharashtra Gramin Bank.

Eligibility:

For the post of Officer Scale-II, candidates should have age above 21 years but less than 32 years as on 16 March 2011. While for the posts of Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), candidates should have age between 18 to 28 years as on 16 March 2011. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years in age. OBC category candidates will get the relaxation of only 3 years in age. PH and Ex-Service Man candidates will also get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set.

Educational Qualification:

For the post of Officer Middle Management Scale-II: Graduation degree from any recognized university or its equivalent with atleast 505 marks in aggregate.

For the post of Officer Junior Management Scale-I: Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent. Proficiency in local language i.e. Marathi is must with adequate knowledge of computer applications.

For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent. Proficiency in local language i.e. Marathi is must with adequate knowledge of computer applications.

Pay Scale:

Officer MMG Scale-II: Rs. 19400-28100 per month.
Office JMG Scale-I: Rs. 14500-25700 per month.
Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Rs. 7200-19300 per month.

Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 400 (non-refundable) is need to be submitted by General and OBC categories candidates. The application fee must be submitted through the payment challan reciept which can be downloaded from the website of Bank. For SC/ST/PH candidates, the amount of application fee is Rs. 50.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview. Only eligible candidates will be called for the written test. And then only qualified candidates of this written test will be called for the interview with the selection committee.

Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID. Candidates should retain the printout of the system generated online application form for future reference.
