Pailan College of Management and Technology is an elite management Institute that offers a two year Post graduate based course in Business administration. The courses run in the Institute are approved by AICTE and is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology. The Institute houses an excellent campus that is located in the outer skirt of Kolkata, and is in Joka. The Institute has been known for the renowned campus as well as excellent infrastructural facilities that are required to create a supple environment to impart the management based education. The institute has a stable record of placement as the cell associated is headed by the most organizing team of placement cell and therefore have links as well as tie ups with most of MNC’s in the city.

The Institute shortlists the candidates for the pre-final admission by assessing the CAT scores that each individual have earned. There are alternative means of applying in the Institute also. However those candidates who are selected are then called for a second round of selection test which mostly comprises of Personal Interview along with Group Discussion. The Final selection of the candidates is made by assessing he marks obtained in all the stages of admission procedure.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

Selection process:

Candidates are shortlisted for MBA programme of PCMT on the basis of their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection is based on candidate’s performance in CAT, Personal Interview, Group Discussion, Past Academic Record, Application form answers, work experience and Extra Curricular Activities.
