Panimalar Engineering College was established in 2000 by the JaiSakthi Educational Trust. This Christian Minority higher education institution came into existence in accordance with the general policy of the Government of Tamilnadu.
The College is affiliated to the Anna University and the Chairman of the College is Dr. Jeppiaar, who is the Chancellor of Sathyabama Deemed University. The College works hard to provide superior quality education in the fields of science, technology, and engineering. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Courses offered:
The Panimalar Engineering College offers various engineering courses which include Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The College also offers two Post Graduate Courses - Master of Computer Applications (MCA) (3 Years) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) (2 Years).
Eligibility criteria for getting admission:
For admission to the B.E/ B. Tech degrees in the college, candidates must satisfy the norms prescribed by the government of Tamilnadu. For admission to the 3 years MCA degree, candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects at Higher Secondary level. For admission to the 2 years MBA degree, candidates must have a Bachelor Degree from any recognized University.
Infrastructure:
The Panimalar Engineering College offers world class infrastructure facilities such as sophisticated labs, air conditioned central library, highly spaciously seminar hall, air conditioned auditorium, audio visual centre, excellent transport facility with 51 buses, large mess hall, excellent hostel facilities, and an active placement cell.
The central library of the college has photo copying facilities using a digital copier and network printer, the college also has a digital library. The hostel of the college has well-furnished rooms and other facilities like game courts, gymnasium, yoga centre, beauty salon, medical facilities, recreation room, and STD/ISD phone facilities.
