Pattom Thanu Pillai Memorial College of Education came into existence in the year 2006 and it is located in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. The college belongs to the Pattom Thanu Pillai Memorial Group of Institutions which works under the control of the Pattom Thanupillai Memorial.

The Pattom Thanu Pillai Memorial Group of Institutions was started on August 4, 1976 by the efficient team of management lead by Sri. Kottukal Damodharan Pillai, in honour of Sri Pattom Thanupillai, who has won great name as Prime Minister of travancore, Chief minister of Kerala.

This pioneering institute has developed into a full-fledged educational complex catering to the educational needs of an extensive rural area. The institution provides exceptional opportunity for studying from Nursery to Higher secondary and professional courses in the same premises. The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala and it is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The Pattom Thanu Pillai Memorial College of Education offers the Bachelor of Education course, whose duration is one year.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

Candidates who have passed in BA/BSc or graduation in any stream with at least 45% marks in aggregate (relaxable for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply for the B. Ed course. Final year students are also eligible to apply. They must get qualified in the Kerala B. Ed Entrance Exam conducted by the Government of Kerala in order to get admission for the B. Ed course.
