Profile:

The High Court of Delhi was initially responsible for exercising jurisdiction not only over the Union Territory of Delhi but also Himachal Pradesh. But after the enforcement of State of Himachal Pradesh Act, 1970 in the year 1971, the High Court of Delhi stopped to exercise jurisdiction over Himachal Pradesh. The court was established on October 31, 1966 with four judges named Justics K.S. Hegde, Justice I.D. Dua, H. R. Khanna and Justice S.K. Kapoor. At present, the strength of the judges of the High Court of Delhi is 48 judges among which 29 are permanent judges and 19 are additional judges. The sanctioned strength of judges of this high court increased from time to time.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from all the eligible indian nationals for the post of Personal Assistant on the establishment of the High Court of Delhi. Candidates must meet with all the eligibility criterias set for this post in the High Court of Delhi.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must be more than 18 years and also they should not attain the age more than 27 years as on 1 January 2011. This age criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates in order to apply for the specified post of Personal Assistant in the High Court of Delhi.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification that should be attined by the candidates for applying on the post of Personal Assistant is Graduation in any stream from any recognized institute. Candidates should have a shorthand speed of 100 words per minute and also the typing speed of 40 words per minute. Knowledge of computer applications is also desirable for the post.

No. of posts: There are 27 posts available in total for the specified position.

For General category candidates: 6 posts.
For SC category candidates: 6 posts.
For ST category candidates: 4 posts.
For OBC category candidates: 11 posts.

Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Application Fee:

The application fee is need to be submitted by the candidates in the form of a Demand Draft only. General category candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 300. No application fee is to be paid by the SC/ST/PH candidates. The demand draft should be made in favour of Registrar General, Delhi High Court.

Selection Process:

An interview that will be conducted by the High Court of Delhi is the only selection criteria set for the candidates, who wants to get selected on the post of Personal Assistant. No other test is to be faced by the candidates after this interview test.

How to apply: Application must reach to the prescribed address in the prescribed format only. Two recent passport size photographs and copies of the testimonials, dully attested by the Gazetted Officer are also need to be sent in support of the application form. The envelope containing all the above specified documents should have the superscription “APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF PERSONAL ASSISTANT” written over it.
