Canara Bank was founded as Canara Bank Hindu Permanent Func in the year 1906. Laster it was reaned to Canara bank Limitd in the year 1910 and finally it got its present i.r. Canara bank in the year 1969. Mr. Sunderrajan is the present Chairman cum Managing Director of the bank. The bank has its headquarter located at Bangalore. Karnataka. The bank is considered as one of the oldest bank present in the country. The bank has a vast network with more than three thousand branches spread across the country. The bank has an employee strength of approximately 45 thousand personnel.

Job Profile:

Canara Bank is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the vacant posts of Probationary Officer. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the posts. Only those candidates, who possess a valid CWE score card are eligible to apply.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to possess the prescribed age limit set for the posts of Probationary Officers in Canara Bank. Candidates must have age less than the prescribed minimum age limit but not more than the prescribed maximum age limit. Relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules and regulations of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification set for the post of Probationary Officer is that candidates should have passed Graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized institute or university. Candidates must also possess knowledge of computer applications, in addition to the prescribed qualification. Candidates having qualification less than the prescribed one, will not be considered for selection.

No. of posts: Total 2000 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 14500-25700 per month.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay the prescribed amount of application fee before applying online. Submission of application fee is must for each and every candidates and no candidates will not be allowed to apply online without paying this application fee.

Selection Process:

Selection process for the post of Probationary Officer in Canara Bank is comprises of two different stages. Candidates are required to qualify in both the stages of the selection process for being considered at the time of final selections.

1. Candidates will be shortlisted as per their CWE score card.
2. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for the Personal Interview Test with the Selection Committee.

How to apply: Applications must be made through online mode only. Applications recieved through any other mode will not be entertained or considered by the bank under any special circumstances. However, candidates must take a printout of the completed application form and retain it with themselevs for future references. Candidates will be allowed to apply online at the official website of Canara Bank and that too from 30 January 2012 onwards only.
