As u know this fact very welly that at present the banking sector is one of the most sectors of the economy so you are worried about your future growth in your career then according to me you should not worry much because you can be promoted as the manager on the bank. but you are looking for a better option then you can go for IES( Indian economics services). that is a truly a delighted career that one can have. Best of luck.

After entering as Probationary Officer in a Bank, which exm. one is to clear for future growth and what is the time limit for clearing the same. Also, what is the promotional scope. If any Engineeting Graduate apply, any weightage is given in selection or promotion. Kindly let me know, this might be the question of many others.

There are many types of posts in banks. Popular posts are clerks and PO's. Now a days banks are recruiting many of posts through these two.
And you haven't specified for which post you are interested in. Have a look on the both posts

Bank clerks:
Bank clerks are those who work under the PO's and they need to do much work specially typing of account details,customer reports,ledger sheets etc. And the salary pay will be around 10k per month.

And the eligibility is;
You must have min.60% in tenth OR
min.55% in your Inter OR pass in degree from any recognized University of India.

Your age should be between 18-28 years
- For SC/ST it is 5 years relaxation
- For BC relaxation set as 3 years.
- For the PH candidates 10 years and ex-service-men 5years.

Bank PO's :
Bank PO's have more command over the banks and highly paid than the clerks. And their pay will be typically around 20k per month which is depends upon the bank reputation.

Eligibility for the po's is;
You must have a degree with 60% and age should be between 20 to 30years. Upper age limits are same as mentioned above for clerks.

The exam pattern for the above two posts will be typically like the following;
It covers the foll.topics in their exam pattern;
English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal)
Best books to prefer is;
>>Galgotia State Bank Probationary Officers Guide by Ravi Chopra
>>Oswaal Chapter-Wise Solutions of BANK P.O. (10 Years Solved Papers)
>>R.S. Aggarwal’s book on reasoning

I joined as junior Agricultural associate in SBI in Dec 2016. Now I have been selected to PO in canara bank . In long run which one is better for me financially and place of posting etc ie., up to retirement. I have also expected the merger of all nationalized banks in to four and expected promotion after three years in SBI as JM 1 officer /manager trainee.
