Bank profile: The oriental bank of commerce is a govt. of India undertaking with some best facilities for its customers. It has services like NRI service, Premium service etc. and various deposit and loan schemes. It has very competitive rates in the market and it is a reliable bank. It has a large no. of branches spread over the country.
Job profile: The probationary officers would be on a training period initially. After their training they will be allotted different departments of the bank. They will be responsible for execution of various activities and maintaining customer relations etc.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 30 years as on 1st October 2009. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be a graduate in science or in any other stream with a minimum of 60% marks for a science graduate and 55% for other graduates. A candidate with a professional qualification like MBA, CA, etc will be given the preference. A candidate must also have good knowledge of computers. The relaxation in marks will be available for reserved category candidates.
No. of posts: There are 313 posts in total which include 46 for SC, 23 for ST, 84 for OBC and 160 for GEN.
Pay scale: The probationary officers will be given a pay scale of Rs10000-18240 (under revision).
Selection procedure: A candidate will be selected on the basis of his/her performance in the written test and the interview.
How to apply: The candidates are required to apply online. The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs400 (Rs50 for SC/ST) in the account of oriental bank of commerce (Account No. 00071131002409. The candidates are required to put the obtained details in the online form. The candidates are required to produce the bank’s registration slip and a copy of the online form at the time of written test.
The last date for applying is 31st October 2009.
