State Bank of Mysore is shortly called SBM and this bank was established in the year 1913 with its name as Bank of Mysore Limited. In the year 1960, the Bank of Mysore Limited was converted as an associate bank of State Bank Of India and got its present name from then on.

State Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Probationary Officer for one of its subsidiary banks namely State Bank of Mysore.
Name of the position: Probationary Officer
Number of Vacancies: 868 (128 for SC, 64 for ST, 228 for OBC, 13 for OH, 12 for VH and 423 for General)
Period of Probation: Two years
Pay Scale: Candidates will be getting a basic pay of Rs. 14500 in the scale of Rs.14500-25700, which is the pay scale for the position of Junior Management Grade Scale I. Selected candidates, will be eligible for other allowances like DA, HRA and CCA according to the rules applicable from time to time.
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: Only those candidates with graduation from a recognized university or institution can apply for the position of Probationary Officer in SBM.
Age: The lower age limit is 21 years and upper age limit is 30 years. In other words, candidates born after 2nd of June 1981 and before 1st of June 1990 are eligible to apply. In the case of reserved category candidates, certain years are allowed as relaxation in the upper age limit. Application fee and postage:
A non-refundable cash of Rs. 500 (including postage and application fee) (application fee of Rs.50 alone for reserved category) should be deposited in any of the branches of SBI after 02nd of June and before 23rd of June 2011.
