State Bank of Travancore shortly called as SBT was constituted in the year 1945 with its name as Travancore Bank Limited. This bank was made as the associate bank of the State Bank of India under the SBI Subsidiary Bank Act 1959. The bank maintains a history of uninterrupted dividend payment and profits. Candidates are invited to apply for the position of Probationary Officer in the State Bank of Travancore by the State Bank of India.

Name of the position: Probationary Officer

Number of Vacancies: 412 (60 for SC, 30 for ST, 108 for OBC, 6 for OH, 6 for VH and 202 for General)

Period of probation: Two years

Pay Scale: Appointed candidates will get an initial pay of Rs. 14500, under the pay brand of Rs.14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700. They are also eligible for other allowances like House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance and City Compensatory allowance.

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university/institution to apply for the post of Probationary Officer.

Age: The lower age limit of the candidates is 21 years and upper age limit is 30 years. In other words, candidates must have born between 02.06.1981 and 01.06.1990. Application and postage fee of Rs. 500 should be deposited in any of the SBI branches between the 2nd of June and 23rd of June 2011. The fee to be paid by reserved category candidates is Rs.50.
