Assam University invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for different teaching positions for the various department under Silchar and Diphu campus.

Name of the Positions: Professor, Associate Professor and Asst. Professor

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies is 20, which is divided as follows:

• Professor – 6 for different departments given below:

o Sociology - 1 (UR)

o Social Work - 1 (UR)

o Commerce – 1 (ST for Diphu Campus)*

o Physics – 1 (ST for Diphu Campus)*

* Departments corresponding to which Diphu campus is given are meant for that campus and other positions are meant for Silchar campus.

Application fee:

The cost of application form is Rs.50 and the application fee is Rs.400. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category need not pay the application fee and they are required to pay the cost of application alone in the form of DD drawn in favor of Finance Officer, Assam University, Silchar at UCO bank, Silchar or SBI, Silchar. For candidates downloading applications from the website of the university, the application fee is Rs.450.
