Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology was founded as an autonomous centre for Development and Research in Banking Technology. The institute was established in the year 1996 by the Reserve Bank of India. A committee formed by Reserve Bank of India, suggested of setting up an Information Technology institute for facilitating the Research and development in the application of technology to the Banking and Financial sector of the country. The institute was started with the aim of becoming one of the premier and preferred research and development institution on Financial Sector Technology and its management.

Job Profile:

Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology requires eligible and professional candidates for filling up the following vacant faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in its various departments. Candidates are required to have specialization in the areas of Information Technology in Banking, Core Banking System Related Areas, Advanced Data Analysis, Applied Statistics, Alternate Delivery Channels, Financial Inclusion Technologies, Computer Science & Engineering etc.

1. Recruitment of Professor:

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Information Security/ Banking Technology etc with atleast 60% marks in aggregate at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch with consistently good academic record. candidates should possess atleast 10 years of experience in research or teaching field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

2. Recruitment of Professor:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Information Security/ Banking Technology etc with atleast 60% marks in aggregate at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch with consistently good academic record. candidates should possess atleast 6 years of experience in research or teaching field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

3. Recruitment of Professor:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Information Security/ Banking Technology etc with atleast 60% marks in aggregate at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch with consistently good academic record. candidates should possess atleast 3 years of experience in research or teaching field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.
