National Institute of Industrial Engineering was established in the year 1963 as a business school in Mumbai. The institute has an urband campus spreaded in an area of 67 acres only. Dr. Subhash D. Awale is the present Director of the institute. Initially, the institute was started off as an Industrial Engineering institute but later on it also included full time Post Graduate programs as well in both industrial engineering and management. The institute is recognized by Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The institute was formerly known as National Institute of Training in Industrial Engineering.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for filling up the following vacant faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in National Institute of Industrial Engineering. The vacancies are available in the disciplines of Operations Management, Information Technology, Management, Industrial Safety and Environment Management and General Management.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
Educational Qualification: Interested candidates must have done Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the precceding degree level. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout. Candidates are required to possess minimum 10 years experience in the field of teaching or research at any Indian or Foreign institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
Educational Qualification: Interested candidates must have done Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the precceding degree level. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout. Candidates are required to possess minimum 8 years experience in the field of teaching or research at any Indian or Foreign institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
Educational Qualification: Interested candidates must have done Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the precceding degree level. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout. Candidates are required to possess minimum 3 years experience in the field of teaching or research at any Indian or Foreign institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

Application Fee:

Interested candidates are required to submit an application fee of prescribed amount in the form of a Demand Draft only. The amount of application fee for General and OBC categories candidates is Rs. 200 only. However, no application fee is required to be submitted by the candidates belonging to Scheduled caste or Scheduled Tribes categories. The demand draft should be drawn in favour:

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the interview test that will be held on a specified date. The interview test will be taken by a responsible Selection Committee.
