SDM Institute for Management Development (SDM) conducts an entrance process for admission in to its Post Graduate Diploma in Management Program (PGDM). SDMIMD was established by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Trust (SDMET), Ujire. PGDM program offered by SDM-IMD has been approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, and Government of India. There are a total of 120 seats in PGDM program. SDM IMD is considered to be one of the reputed institutes for management education.

SDM institute for Management Development uses CAT score for short listing candidates for Personal Interview and General Discussion for the final selection process. Therefore to apply for admission in PGDM program of SDMIMD it is compulsory for candidates to give CAT. Candidates interested in getting admission in SDMIMD also have to apply separately for it. This is one of the reputed institutes well known for providing quality education to the interested candidates.

The institute invites the eligible candidates for taking part in the examination which it takes all over India at various centers. They have to fill the form with all the documents and fees as per the institute norms and before the last date of submission they have send it to the institute. NRI candidates can also apply by submitting valid GMAT scores and those NRI who resides in India have to appear for CAT exam. The selections of the candidates are based on the performance in the GMAT and CAT exam, subsequent group Discussion and simultaneous exercise and personal interview.

This is one of the challenging and toughest exams in which a lot of students take part. The question that has been asked in the exam is based on the objective type. The question paper consists of test of general awareness, Quantitative aptitude test, Test of Reasoning and Test of English. After the written Test the institute invites the successful candidates for counseling where they take the admission.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

The forms for SDMIMD will be available by August End in SDMIMD, Mysore and various other designated centers: SDM Group Institutes, Bulls Eye Centres, Career Forum Centres, Career Launcher Centres, Cerebral Heights Centres, IMS Centres, PT Education Centres and T.I.M.E. Centres. The form can also be obtained by post from SDMIMD, Mysore by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the application form from the website www.sdmimd.net.

Selection process:

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the performance in the CAT and previous academic record.

Final selection depends on the performance in CAT, previous academic records, relevant work experience and performance in Interview/GD.
