Suryamukhi Dinesh Ayurved Medical College & Hospital works under the control of the S.D Educational Development and Social Welfare Society. This Society is registered under the Society Act 21 of 1860. The college was established in the year 1980, and is named after the popular scholars Prof. Dinesh Prasad Pandey and his wife Suryamukhi Devi.
The college is located at the Ranchi district of the Jharkhand State. The college is affiliated to the Vinoba Bhave University. The college is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi, and the department of Ayush, Government of India. The college offers excellent education in the field of Ayurveda through highly qualified teaching professionals and the best facilities.

The Suryamukhi Dinesh Ayurved Medical College & Hospital offers the following undergraduate course in the field of Ayurvedic medicine:
The undergraduate course available in the college is B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery). The duration of the course is five and half years duration, including 1 year internship.
Eligibility criteria for getting admission:
The candidates, who have passed higher secondary examination or 12th standard examination or intermediate examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects, are eligible to apply for the B.A.M.S course. They must get qualified in the entrance test conducted by the college in order to get admission for the B.A.M.S course.

The library of the college is spacious and comfortable with excellent collections of books, journals and magazines related to Ayurvedic science.
