Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts shortly called as SSLA is a constituent unit of the popular Symbiosis University operating from the city of Pune in the Indian state of Maharashtra. SSLA is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with A grade status.

Courses offered:

Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts offers Bachelor of Science/Arts in Liberal Arts course, whose duration is three years. On completion of this course, students will be awarded either with Bachelor of Arts or with Bachelor of Science degree based on the specialization chosen by them. This course is being offered by the institution with following majors:

• Political Science and Public Policy

• Sociology

Eligibility requirement:

For getting into the Liberal Arts course offered by the SSL, candidates must have completed their class 12 examination in any branch with not less than 50% of marks for general category candidates and not less than 45% of marks for SC/ST category candidates. Even IB students with predicted scores and who have appeared for the SET examination and students waiting for their higher secondary results are also eligible to apply.

Admission Process and reservation:

The process of admission at Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts includes the following steps:

• Registering and appearing for SET Examination

• Sending application to the Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts either through courier/post along with DD towards the application fee

• Sending higher secondary mark sheet from the previously attended school or sending an official high school transcript from the current high school

• Sending a sample of writing that has been written in the last year: This must be an essay written by the students for their class or just for a hobby or they can also provide answer to the question that will be given to them.

Reservation for the Liberal Arts course of SSLA will be made according to the norms of Symbiosis International University.

Career Cell at SSLA:

The institute has a vibrant career cell that has a director and two permanent faculty members in addition to three student representative. Since SSLA offers liberal arts course in different specializations, students can get great access to people in different sectors of industry. This in turn offers them with an exposure to the different facets of industry and offers them with wide ranging and detailed understanding of the contemporary job market. The activities of the cell are classified into five broad categories namely:
