The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University M.Sc in Medical Sociology-Anatomy and Physiology of Health and Illness Papers deal with the various diseases in particular that effect the human society on a large scale. It also involves a serious discussion on the role of a family in the society. The various aspects of a family like the constitution of the family and the effect of it on the social set up of the system is considered to be very important. The family practices ensure as to what kind of hygiene practices are being followed around.

Importance of the paper

The subject of the medical sociology gives an overview of the general health of the society which we can use to understand ourselves better and correct ourselves if need be to eliminate any such factors of risks. Thus it ensures that the entire society enjoys the glory of good health.

Format

There is no special format. Paper doesn’t give you any choice, all questions should be answered.

Paper pattern

Paper has two kinds of questions. The first one being long is Elaborate On and second one being short is Short Notes On. 2 questions forms the Elaborate On part while 10 questions forms Short Notes part.

Marking

The Elaborate On carries a total of forty marks, with each of the sub-question carrying 20 marks. The Short Note carries 60 marks, which is distributed equally between 10 questions of this part thus giving a weighatge of 6 marks to individual short notes.
