The University College of Engineering is one of the biggest and the best and the oldest engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. It was established in the year 1929. The college is autonomous and it was granted this status in 1994. The college is the biggest among the Osmania University.

Courses offered: There are a number of courses that the college offers. It offers Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Besides this the college also offers Masters of Computer Application, Master of Science by Research and also Ph.D. in various branches. There is also M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. There are also part time courses of short duration.

Campus: The College has a total of 109 teaching staff members and 24 professors. The library itself is a two storied building. There are books of each and every field of engineering. It meets the needs of 5000 users. There are journals that are always available. To add to the huge buildings for each and every department, there is also hostel facilities, canteen and medical center. There are three boys’ hostel and 3 girl’s hostel.

Admission Procedure: The admission to the college is made only on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the state.

Placements: There are a huge lot of MNC’S visiting the campus to take students like Infosys, Wipro, CTS, CSC,  CMC Ltd., G.E, Siemens, Yahoo!, Oracle, IBM, HP, BEL, TVS Electronics, Medha Servo Drives, Virtusa Technologies, Verizon-India, ELGI Equipments Ltd., Syntel, Schneider Electronics, HSCC, Murugappa Group, Kean India Ltd.,  Maruti Udyog Ltd & ADP Pvt Ltd., etc.
