This test is conducted by Association of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh for the admission to the MDS course. This is a three year course approved by Dental Council of India.

Structure of UPCAT Dental for MDS

UPCAT which is of two hours duration is an objective type test. The test will be conducted in English medium. Hundred questions will be asked with each of them having four choices. Candidate can give an answer from this by circling the options on the OMR sheet. Half mark will be given for correct answer. There will be reduction of 1/4 marks for wrong answer or for selecting multiple choices for a question. Fields specified to be filled in the OMR sheet should be filled by the candidates. Otherwise no marks will be given for the test even though the candidate has given answers for the questions.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should possess BDS Degree recognized by an Indian university or its equivalent degree approved by Dental Council of India.

If a candidate possesses PG Diploma approved by Dental Council of India then he/she is eligible to apply for the particular specialty done during Diploma.

How to Apply?

Applicants are given three options to apply for the test

Apply online: Fill the form available online and pay the fee Rs.1000/- using credit card. Take the print out of the acknowledgement card obtained after registering the application.

Order application form online: Applicants can fill their contact information online and pay the fee Rs.1000/- using credit card. Thus they can receive form by courier which can be forward to the concerned address after filling.

Collect form from authorized centers: For this Demand Draft of RS.1000/- payable at Bareilly need to be taken in the name of “Secretary, Association of Private Dental & Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh”. With this applicants can get form from Member Institutes or Bank of Baroda. With the instruction given along with the form applicants can fill the form and send to the concerned address.

How to fill the Form?

For filling this form block letters should be used. While specifying name, date of birth etc. in the form confirm it is same as specified in SSLC or Degree certificate. Paste recent color photograph on the form which is of passport size and it should be attested by a gazetted officer. Mandatory field should not be left without filling. If there is any field to specify category, carefully fill it without mistake. Otherwise relaxation given for specified categories will not be granted to the applicants. Every field should be filled before forwarding the form to the authority along with the specified documents.
