UPCMET 2011
Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test is amongst the tough entrance examination conducted for admission in to MBBS in Unaided Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh. This exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA) in order to give complete platform to the students to build their career. This exam includes conceptual questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The students appearing in this exam need to fill an application form available at campus offices.
Institutes under this examination:
There are about 9 unaided medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh, admission to which is done through Uttar Pradesh Combined Admission Test. All these colleges provide excellent infrastructure and campus facility to the students and also provide disciplined education to them. These institutes provide excellent training and placement facility to its students in various domestic and national hospitals. Institutes also provide excellent faculty members in order to give par knowledge to the students. These colleges also provide residential facility to its students.
Popularity of the exam:
The entrance exam for UPCMET is conducted in eleven major cities of Uttar Pradesh along with seven other state capitals of India. A large number of students from across the country appear in UPCMET but a fixed number of candidates are selected as per the seats available in the member colleges of Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years before 31st December, 2011.
Availability of forms for UPCMET 2011:
The forms for Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test are expected to be available by February in selected branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce across a number of cities in India and also from the member institutes. The form can also be obtained by post from UPUMCWA by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Date of Entrance Examination: last week of May, 2011
Availability of Application Forms: 3rd week of February, 2011
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: end of the last week of April, 2011
