V.B. College of Education is a co-education teacher training institution that came into existence in the year 2006. The institute got recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education in the year 2007 to offer teacher education courses. The college was established by the Angika Development Society and it is affiliated to the Bhagalpur University.

Course details:

As mentioned earlier, V.B. College of Education is a teacher-education institution and therefore, the college offers Bachelor of Education course and the medium of instruction followed by the college for this course is English. Even Hindi is used as a medium of instruction as and when required. The course extends to a period of one year with a minimum of 200 working days and 40 days are reserved for offering practical training to the future teachers in some of the reputed schools in Bhagalpur.

V.B. College of Education offers the following subjects as methods:

Eligibility for admission:

To apply for the B. Ed course offered by the V.B. College of Education, the minimum educational qualification is graduation in any stream with not less than 50% of marks. Even candidates with PG and Ph. D degrees can also apply.

Selection Process & reservation of seats:

Selection of candidates for the B. Ed course offered by the V.B. College of Education will be based on entrance test, carrier marking and interview. Selection will be based on the merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The college will follow reservation policy according to the guidelines issued by the Government of Bihar from time to time.

How to apply:

Interested candidates can get the prospectus and application form from the office of the college on payment of Rs.500 towards application fee. Completely filled application along with DD for an amount of Rs.550 towards registration fee drawn in favor of the Principal, V.B.C.E. Bhagalpur, mark sheet of qualifying examination and copy of birth certificate should be submitted before the last date specified by the college.
