Poona College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1981 and it is the first pharmacy college in the region of Pune. The college was previously affiliated to Pune University and now it is a constituent college of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. The All India Council of Technical Education located at New Delhi and the University Grants Commission has approved Poona College of Pharmacy.

Programmes offered:

Poona College of Pharmacy is offering pharmacy education under UG, PG, Diploma and research level and the list of courses is given below:

Advanced diploma in technical and analytical chemistry

Bachelor of Pharmacy

M. Pharm in the following six branches

o Pharmaceutical biotechnology

o Quality assurance techniques

o Pharmacognosy

o Pharmacology

o Pharmaceutical chemistry

o Pharmaceutics

B. Sc applied

B.M. Tech post graduate and certificate course

In addition to the above-mentioned courses, the college is also conducting research in all six branches covered under M. Pharm.

Placements:

Poona College of Pharmacy has a very good placement record of accomplishment and a number of Indian Pharmaceutical companies and multinational companies visit the college for conducting campus interviews. Some of the top rated pharmacy companies like Natco, Ranbaxy, Aventis, Cipla, Novartis, etc…have recruited talents for their respective organizations from this college.

Infrastructural Facilities at Poona College of Pharmacy:

The computer laboratory of the college is provided with internet facility and the students are offered access to the internet to look for placement and job opportunities in India and abroad. The students are also using the facility to search for admissions for post-doctoral fellowships abroad. Separate laboratory facility is provided and for all six branches of PG course, different labs are provided and separate lab is provided for students in UG course thereby offering wide practical knowledge to the students.

    If we have a good aggregate in UG, what courses can be best preferred? Is getting into job, a good option in case of not getting through GATE PGCET or NIPER entrance exam?
