Acharya Deshbhushan Ayurvedic Medical College was established by the Latthe Educational Society and it is offering medical education in the field of Ayurveda after obtaining affiliation from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Course Details:

Acharya Deshbhushan Ayurvedic Medical College is offering Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Science course, whose duration is four years.

Compulsory Internship:

After the completion of the four-year degree course in Ayurvedic Medicine, the students will have to take up compulsory internship for a period of 12 months. The internship shall be completed by the students in primary health centre, dispensary or in the hospital attached to the college. Only after successful completion of internship programme, the principal of the college confers BAMS degree over the students after obtaining consent from the authority who assisted the students in the period of internship.

Procedure for admission:

Acharya Deshbhushan Ayurvedic Medical College prepares the list of selected candidates based on the marks secured by the students in the 2nd year of P.U.C examination and these candidates are called for interview before the committee of selectors. A candidate who is selected based on his/her marks will be intimated regarding the date of interview through post and the candidates will have to attend the interview along with their parents/guardians for the interview.

The college was established with the vision statement of ‘healthiness of body and mind is important for achieving moksha, kama, artha and dharm’. The mission statement of the college is that an individual becomes a Vaidya by virtue of this previous birth and he can become a complete vaidya only when he completes education in the field. The college aims at achieving higher knowledge to the students by offering them an in-depth knowledge in the subject and by improving their skills.
