Cochin University is presently one of the leading universities of the South India and the number of fields of engineering of this university is not very common everywhere. Wherever a student goes in his/her life mathematics is of utmost important and it follows a student everywhere so a student has to well verse in this subject.

Outline of the paper:

The paper covers details of the mathematics subject that too in depth. The paper is divided into 5 modules and each module is of 20 marks. There are two questions out of which a student needs to write only one.

Paper pattern:

The test is of 100 marks and a student has to be well versed in all the modules. The syllabus covers huge portion of Fourier transforms, matrices, extensions of calculus and some related topics. The paper does not have any objective question instead all the questions are subjective. The best part of a mathematics paper is that there are very less theory questions though there are proof based questions. There are ten questions divided in five modules each of two questions. Each question is of 20 marks and they are subdivided into questions of four and five marks and sometimes even six.

How to prepare for the exam?

Students must go through all the modules of their syllabus very carefully and practice as many sums as possible. This will not only enhance your thought process but at the same time will make you more accurate. In Mathematics exam time plays a very crucial role and students have to work out the problems very quick.
