Structure of Amrita MCA Test

The entrance exam conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University has a particular structure followed. As any other entrance test, this entrance exam also includes multiple choice questions from different subjects. Basically the questions will be divided into two parts. One deal with English comprehension, test of general knowledge of the candidates and reasoning test is also included in this part to evaluate how well the candidates can answer the questions. Another part is entirely based on mathematical questions. The students will be allotted with 120 minutes to answer the questions. Penalty for wrong answers is obvious.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for the entrance test conducted by this particular university has some eligibility criteria. The basic criteria are that the applying candidates must be graduates from any recognized university with aggregate marks not less than 60 %. It should be noticed that the graduates should be well versed in the core subjects mathematics and statistics apart form the basic subjects related to computer applications. The graduates who are into the final semester of the three years degree course can also apply for this entrance exam.

How to Apply?

Students applying for the entrance test can opt for the offline as well as the online mode of application. The application form which cost Rs. 650 can is made available for the applicants by post on a written request to any of the Amrita institutions located in Bangalore, Cochin, Mysore and Coimbatore respectively along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 650 drawn in favor of Amrita School of Engineering. It should be notices that the applicant should write his/her name on the back of the Demand Draft. The application forms are also available at the university counters. Moreover the students can also avail the application forms from various branches of Dhanalakshmi Bank. The application form includes the brochure of the university and an information handbook which includes every detail about the rule, regulations and procedure of the entrance test. The application fee paid by the students will not be refunded on any demand.

The online application can be done through the website of the institution, www.amrita.edu . Online application form is available in the website which has to neatly filled and submitted along with the details of the demand draft drawn in favor of the university.

How to fill the Form?

While purchasing the application form, the applicants will also be provided with an information book which includes all the guidelines and procedures for filling the application forms. As per the instruction in the book let the applicants must carefully fill the application forms with pen or pencil as per requirement. The information and details required must be entered in capital letters and clarity. A clear and recent photograph of the applicant has to be attached along with the application form. The details furnished in the application form should be genuine and true. It should be kept in mind that the candidates should put their official signature wherever required. It is suggested to retain a photocopy of the application with the applicant for further reference.
