Hi, I am Lambadhar Behera working as Admn & Facilities Executive in a Software MNC.My date of Birth is 18th July 1978.As per the age limit criteria I am eligible for 1 attempt & I am OBC.What I mean shall have to enclose my Caste Certificate while filling up my upsc form. My date of birth is June 1985. I am a 25 years old female belongs to general category and I have done M.Sc (Analytical Chem), M.Sc( Clinical Research), PGDCRM. I m working in a CRO. I would like to appear the IAS exam so i want to know, how many times i can appear in the IAS examinations? can i do preparations without quitting my current job? For being IAS you need to be graduate in any of subject..

IAS i.e. Indian Administrative Services is one of the most reputed government posts in India. IAS exam is conducted UPSC. The exam pattern consists of the CSAT , Mains and interview. Qualifications:- 1.) The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field from any recognized university of India. 2.) Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST. 3.) IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.
If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC. Application forms will come out in the month of January. According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam 1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks. Eligibility Criteria :- 1.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. If you are in final year you can also eligible to apply for the examination. 2.Age:The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. As you are 45 years old, i am sorry to say that you are now not eligible for IAS exam. Age limit for civil services exam is maximum upto 30 years and an additional maximum of 5 years for people with reservations.

The civil services exam is conducted by the UPSC . For example :- IAS and IPS. In order to sit for the IAS or IPS exam you need to clear the CSAT exam i.e. Civil Services Aptitude Test. Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates and 3 years for the OBC categories. IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer, one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
The minimum age for Civil Service Exam is 21 years and maximum limit is 30 years for General candidate. For OBC the upper age limit is relaxed up to 3 years and for SC/ST it is relaxed up to 5 years.
