hello i am puneet , i have passed my 12th class in 2007 with PCM ....and i am also studying in B.Tech but my percentage is not well....
so can i join indian army?

You can join Indian Army after 12th .You can prpare for NDA,IMA,CDS,TESetc.
It will be preferable if you first complete your degree & look for it.

NDA: is conducted by UPSC (http://upsc.gov.in) twice every year probably in the months of april and september.

Candidate you had passed/appeared class 12 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate can appear for NAvy & AIrforce wings.

Age limit- 16 years- 19 1/2 years.

2) TES: Candidates who have passed class 12 (PCM) with at least 70% aggregate
Interview and MEdical Fitness Test

Age Limit: 17 years- 19 1/2 years.

1.National Defence Academy
You can join Indian Army through NDA exam. A candidate who have passed the
10+2 exam or have appeared in the 10+2 exam are eligible to apply for
the NDA exam.

Age Limit
Candidate applying for the NDA exam should have age between
16½ - 19 years at the time of training.


2.10+2 Technical Entry Scheme
You can also apply for the Indian Army through the above entry scheme.
For this also you should be 12th pass. This entry scheme is only for

Yes you can join Indian army after passing 12th.You will have to submit the application form for NDA & NA examinations which are held twice in a year(April and Septmber). You will get to know about this exam applications and its further details by the official notice published by UPSC in the Employment News.After clearyfying the written exam you will be called for SSB interview in which you will have to perform different types of group and individual tasks.Once selected,you will be made a graduate on the expenses of government.The forms now arrive on 9th of April,2011.

Hi dear, YES, you can join INDIAN ARMY after +2
The simplest way is to appear in NDA exam.

Procedure:-

Appear in the NDA exam, if you got selected then you will be having an 10 days interview :
day 1 - basic appearance
day 2-5 GD PI and other tests
day 6-10 physical and medicals

The second way is technical entry scheme TES
for that you should have minimum 70% in PCM and you dont have any written exam for TES

They select 5-6 from every batch of 120 from the SSB interview
if you get selected, you will spend your first year in INDIAN MILITARY ACADAMY, and next FOUR in other military college

This way its different from NDA, and after 3 years you will start to get paid too

well, you had asked question about entring directly, if it means without any test than the answer is NO.
so, there is a procedure of entring in the Indian Army.
and that is through NDA...(after 12th) but there is some age limit that may minimum 17 by december. NDA follows written test amd physical test that an individual has to clear....

If you are lying between 16n a half to ninteen and a half yearz,

then you are eligible for IMA and OTA. if you are interested in joining INDIAN

ARMY after 10+2 ,candidates getting above 70% marks in PCM are eligible

which is called techincal entry scheme under which direct entry is given to

candidates after short listing.Short listed candidates will be directly called for

SSB Interview. Candidates recommended by SSB will have to undergo a

medical exam.

Interview Technique

This technique is based on the theory of free association. The candidate

is made to talk freely and through this free association, the interviewing

officer assesses the eligibility of the candidate to become an average officer.

He does not expect the candidate to be a " know well" or a " walking

encyclopedia", but he is only trying to find out if the individual has a

receptive mind, which can retain issues in his mind. Is he a person , who

keeps his eyes and ears open and is he a person, who keeps himself posted

about almost events and happenings around him.

well! its good you want to join army but for girls there is only SSC (Short Service Commission) after graduation. Better you take science as you will get more opportunities here.I must tell you i m from ARMY family too. I m preparing for NDA and this will be my first attempt.

Yes , you can apply for the Indian army after class 12th.

The minimum educational qualification required is 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths or an equivalent examination with at least 55-60%.

Age limitation is between 16.5 - 19 years with no relaxation.

There are also some physical requirements.

Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.

No color blindness with 6/6 eyesight.
