hi dear,
These are some of the physical standards requirement for NDA: 1)The candidates should not be colour/night blind & must be physically fit according to following physical standards:- (a) Height and Weight. Minimum height-157cms for men & 152 cms for women with correlated weight. (b)Eye Sight. 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses for tech branch & Submarine Cadre and 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses for the Naval Architecture Cadre. 2) Your chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cm. 3)There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body. 4)You should be free of any past history of mental breakdown or fits. 5)Your hearing should be normal without any evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. 6)There should be no sign of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Your blood pressure should also be normal. 7)The muscles of the abdomen should be well developed without any enlargement of the liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen can be a cause for rejection. 8)An un-operated hernia can make you unfit for selection. If operated, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any potential for recurrence. 9)There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles. If operated for hydrocele and/or varicocele, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any recurrence. 10)Urine examination will be done and any abnormality, if detected, can be a cause for rejection. 11)Any disease of the skin, which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement, will also be a cause for rejection. 12)Vision will be tested. You must have good binocular vision. In case you have undergone or are detected to have undergone Radial Keratotomy, or any other procedure to improve the visual acuity, you will be permanently rejected in case of indian airforce. 13)You should have sufficient number of natural and sound teeth. A minimum of 14 dental points will be acceptable. When 32 teeth are present, the total dental points are 22. You should not be suffering from severe pyorrhoea. Hello sir i am having a weight of 67 kgs and height 180 cms .am i eligible?
.And my friend who is having same height and weight wants to take the exams but when he stand in attention position his knee bones will touch will that affect him in taking the exam and physical fitness test. |

Jai hind! Sir,i was a sergent in N.C.C,and i have attended ALL INDIA THAL SAINIK CAMP,at DELHI CANTONMENT,NEW DELHI.and i have completed the obstacles training and i was awarded a gold medal in firing,but,i am little short heighted , am i eligible for defence service's.

Eligibility Criteria :- Nationality : Indian. Marital Status : Unmarried. Educational Qualifications : i)You should pass the 12th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 60% or above marks in aggregate and optional as Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science. ii)You should pass B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks. or iii)You should pass BE or B.Tech with minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any discipline from any institution recognized by AICTE. or iv)You should have M. Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 55% marks. Age Limits :19.5 to 25 years as the examination time. Physical Standards:- Height: Minimum 157 cm Eye standard: Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse 6/9 Color perception: CP II |

There are certain rules for the selection for NDA. You are eligible if you satisfy the eligibilty conditions as governed by UPSC Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1st July, 1995 are eligible. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: (i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. (ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. Physical standard required for NDA according to APPENDIX-5 of NDA Notice in Employment News. [/B] APPENDIX-5 Guidelines For Physical Standards for Admission to the National Defence Academy Note : Candidates must be Physically AND MENTALLY fit According to the pre-scribed Physical standards. The guidelines for the same are given below. A Number of qualified candidates are rejected subsequently on Medical grounds. Candidates are therefore advised in their own interest to get themselves medically examined before submitting their applications to avoid disappointment at the final stage. Candidates are also advised to rectify minor defects/ailments in order to speed up finalisation of medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB. Few of such commonly found defects/ailments are listed below : (a) Wax (Ears) (b) Deviated Nasal Septum (c) Hydrocele/Phimosis (d) Overweight/Underweight (e) Under sized Chest (f) Piles (g) Gynaecomastia (h) Tonsillitis (i) Varicocele Civilian candidates appearing for all types of commission in the Armed Forces will be entitled to out-patients treatment from service sources at public expense for injuries sustained or diseases contracted during the course of their examination by the Selection Board. They will also be entitled to in-patient treatment at public expense in the Officers’s ward of a hospital provided– (a) the injury is sustained during the tests or, (b) the disease is contracted during the course of the examination by selection board and there is no suitable accommodation in local civil hospital or it is impracticable to remove the patient to the civil hospital; or, (c) the medical board requires the candidates’s admission for observation. Note : They are not entitled to special nursing. A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical Board. The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to anyone. However the candidates declared unfit will be intimated by the President of the Medical Board and the procedure for request for an Appeal Medical Board will also be intimated to the candidate. Candidates declared unfit during Appeal Medical Board will be intimated about the provision of Review Medical Board. (a) The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties. (b) There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight. The candidate should not be overweight or obese. (c) The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air Force) For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern regions of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable heights will be 5 cms. less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep the minumum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms. (d) Chest should be well developed. Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms. The measurement will be taken with a tape so adjusted that its lower edge should touch the nipple in front and the upper part of the tape should touch the lower angle of the shoulder blades behind. X-Ray of the chest is compulsory and will be taken to rule out any disease of the chest. (e) There should be no mal-development or impairment of function of the bones or joint. thank you |

sir,i passed nda interview and now my medical is pending,i have 32 teeth ans 22 points,but my both up and down teeh rows are toching each other,there is no gap.i am disqualified or not??

During the time of admission, he should be 17 1/2 years and must not be over 23 years of age. After or during the +2 tenure, interested candidates need to write NDA Exam for the Army wing of National Defense Academy.

Sir my name is Mayank,and i want to give NDA exam after passing 12th class,but my eyesight is weak.I have spects of a power of (-2.00).And i also have a desease called varicocele,but it has been now operated and get cured.So, will you please tell me that i am eligible or not for NDA
