Re: After passing B.Tech can I teach in engineering college or job in industry?
If you want to prepare for a GATE exam and also want a job them you can opt for a teaching job in some private engineering college. It will give you good enough time for your preparation and keep teaching will also help you to clear more concepts and revise them strongly.
You can also do a part time job or work on some project in some industry or some company. This will also give you some practical knowledge of your work and also some time for your studies. But doing a full time job can be hard because it may not be possible for you to get hold on your studies once you get into the industry. Both ways are better to and you can opt for any of them. |

Hi friend, after B.tech you can teach in engineering college or you can also go for job it's all depends based on your interest. You can do M.Tech or MBA while doing teaching job in college. At the same time you can also prepare for more competitive and govt jobs.
In teaching field you can gain more knowledge in communication skills, after this try for govt job or private job.Instead of doing full time in college do part time in college. So,decide yourself and take one good decision. As my point of view both teaching and job in industry are good. |

HI
so you have to options in your mind and your confused na k ill tell wat to do . If you work in engineering colleges then you need strangle hard again because this stream is like first you need prepare then you need teach to the students but here another advantage you have is you can prepare for M.TECH also . IF you work in company then you will get one year experience ,then their is scope of getting good job in top companies because they mostly prefer experienced persons . Better prefer for companies then once you compelte M.TECH then you can decide wat to do ALL THE BEST |

Re: After passing B.Tech can I teach in engineering college or job in industry?
If you want to become college lecturer then it is essential to have post graduation degree. Which means that you must do Master of Technology course in order to become lecturer. After M.Tech you can take admission for the National Eligibility Test.
Even scope of teaching job in private college is quite low. Although there are some engineering colleges that may actually select you. But overall they also want M.Tech degree holder. So the bottom line is that if you want to become college lecturer then it is essential to complete post graduation. In my view you should only pursue M.Tech if want lecturer job. Because you can get good jobs in private colleges that will offer good salary after M.Tech. Otherwise you can simply apply for the jobs. A very good option would be Public Sector Undertakings. As a Mechanical Engineer you can apply for job in Public Sector Undertaking. What you need to do is apply for the entrance exam by a particular PSU that is offering jobs for Mechanical Engineering graduates. But I should tell you that some PSU requires GATE score of the candidate. Therefore regardless of the fact that you want to continue studying with M.Tech or want to do job after B.Tech, do appear for the General Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE). PSU Eligibility 1. A B.Tech degree from a recognized university. 2. At least 60 percent marks. 3. There is some relaxation for reserve category candidates. 4. A valid GATE score may be required. 5. The age limit to apply is 21 to 30 years. 6. Age limit is relaxed by 3 for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. List of PSU BHEL NTPC IOCL BPCL IOCL ONGC GAIL ECIL SAIL BEL Indian Engineering Service Another good option in government sector is Indian Engineering Service Exam. You don't need GATE score to appear for this exam. IES is conducted once a year by Union Public Service Commission. It is conducted to recruit engineers for various departments of central government. To appear for the exam, you must meet the following criteria. 1. You should be Indian citizen. 2. A B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 5. Age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 6. The age limit for SC/ST is relaxed by 5 years. |

Re: After passing B.Tech can I teach in engineering college or job in industry?
Hi Guest,
After completing B.Tech you cannot go for teaching field as there are lots of other courses required in order to take teaching field. The candidate needs to do M.Tech and if possible a Ph.D so that the eligibility for job in teaching field is high. Apart from these there are many other jobs available for B.Tech graduates so if you are interested you can go for that jobs. Thank you, All the best. |

Re: After passing B.Tech can I teach in engineering college or job in industry?
My suggestion would be to join in the industry. As you have no GATE score, you have to wait for 1 year to attend for next GATE exam.
You are not sure that you are going to get a good rank in the upcoming GATE Exam also. So, try to get the job opportunity in the core companies as per your stream and perform well in the job that you join. You can also opt for M.Tech course in Distance Learning along with your job. There will not be good prospects for the candidates in Teaching side in long term. For short term purpose doing job as a Lecturer in a college would be a good choice but for long term it is not a good choice. If you did not get good job opportunity in a top company, then I suggest you to opt for M.Tech course in regular mode. To get job opportunities, You should have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in all your academic levels. You should not have any pending backlogs and your academic gap should not be more than 2 years. The selection procedure would include Written Exam Group Discussion Interview At fresher level, if you are good enough in subject knowledge and communication skills, you will easily get the job. Wish you all the best. |
