Re: NDA exam after Diploma engineering (after 10th standard)?
Dear Friend
You are eligible to apply for NDA&NA exam as per educational qualification is concerned. Your age should lie between 16.5 year to 19 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA. As per the rules of UPSC for NDA exam One who has a degree equivalent to 12th can apply for Army Wing only. For Navy and Airforce one should have passed 12th pattern exam. So, probably you will be eligible for Army wing only. Visit the UPSC website for any further detail. www.upsc.gov.in Thank You |

As per me you can give NDA written exam if you are between 16.5-19 years of age. However, in SSB they demand your 12th standard certificates such as 12th class marksheet and certificate. So I suggest you to complete graduation first and then apply for CDS examination. Best of Luck. |

Re: NDA exam after Diploma engineering (after 10th standard)?
Hi
You are not eligible to apply for the NDA exam . As the minimum education qualification they required that only those candidates are eligible for the NDA exam who have passed the 10+2 examination or has appeared in the 10+2 examination. So 10+2 is necessary qualification for the NDA exam. So as per the eligibility criteria of NDA exam you are not eligible to apply for the exam. So its good to complete your 10+2 if you are interested in National Defence Academy exam conducted by the UPSC. The detailed eligibility criteria for the NDA exams given below: Education Qualification 1.For Army Wing Candidates who are interested in Army should have a minimum qualification at 10+2. Candidates who appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for the exam. 1.For Air Force and Naval Wings Candidates applying for the For Air Force and Naval Wings should have a minimum qualification at 10+2 with Physics and Maths. Candidates who appeared in the 10+2 exam are also eligible. AGE LIMIT Candidates having the age between 16½ - 19 years at the time of training are only eligible. So the above eligibility criteria is necessary for the NDA exam. For more information related to NDA exam you can log on to UPSC web site www.upsc.gov.in GOOD LUCK |

Re: NDA exam after Diploma engineering (after 10th standard)?
Hey Hi,
Well Anurag I am really sorry to say that You cannot apply for the NDA eXAM as you have done Diploma after the 10th class. The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year and some essential eligibility criteria is put up into consideration like For Indian Army, The candidate must've been completed the 12th class in any Discipline. For IAF & Navy, The candidate must've been completed the 12th class with Physics & Maths being a regular one. Besides that the Age Limit which was kept for the candidate is 16.5-19 yrs at the time of commencement of the training. Well you may be in position to fulfill the age criteria but I don'nt think that you would be in a position to fulfill the education criteria. So go ahead for engineering and try for the CDS. |
