NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria:-
NDA stands for National Defense Academy. NDSE exam is given by those candidates who wants to join Army, Navy and Air force wings of NDA. The academy you want to enter needs to be mentioned in the application form. The rank you secure though will finally decide which academy you will go eventually. You can give the exam twice a year:- in April and in September. You need to be in the academy for three years. After completion of three years you will get a bachelor's degree in science, arts or computer science. If you choose to join the Air Force Academy then you need to give the pilot aptitude battery test as well. Candidates who wants to give this exam needs to be a citizen of India firstly. Moreover it should be remembered that this exam is only for the male candidates of India who are unmarried. During the course you cannot get married as otherwise your name will be ticked off. Girls are not allowed to give this exam. The eligibility criteria for entering different wing is different. To join the army wing you need to be higher secondary passed or its equivalent. The subject combination is not so important here. But if you want to join the air force or naval wing then you need to have physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects at 10+2 level. If you are about to appear for the board exam or awaiting the result then also you can sit for this exam. You need to be physically and mentally fit according to the standards set by the NDA and NA. If you have slight health problems then you should try to cure those ailments as early as possible to increase your chances of getting selected. In addition to the physical test one has to sit for a written exam and attend the interview session as well. There are two sections in the written exam: Mathematics and General Ability Test. 900 marks have been allotted for the exam and 2.5 hours each you will get for completing the two papers. If you score good marks in the interview session then you will be called for the interview session. This is to assess the overall personality of the chosen candidates. Group discussions, group-planning, outdoor group tasks etc. will be there for you to take part in. Hope this helps |
