There are two exams for NET exam and the forms for NET exam has come out and last date for post is 21. You can fill the form for NET exam two times in a year. Paper-I is of the type of aptitute reasoning etc. And paper-II is regarding with your subject in which you have to qualify your NET exam.

Re: What is the procedure to appear for SET/NET exam? What is the date for the same?
NET or National Eligibility Test is a national level entrance exam. While State Eligibility Test (SET) is conducted on the state level. The criteria for both the exams is same as it is set by the University Grants Commission.
National Eligibility Test is conducted in June and December. The dates are not fixed. Every year, couple of months before the exam date, University Grants Commission issues a notification that includes all the information like last date of applying, exam date etc. This notification is published online as well on various newspapers in the country. On the other hand State Eligibility Test is conducted by each state separately. It depends of them, when they will like to conduct it. It is difficult to tell you single date since each state will individually decide on the dates. Eligibility 1. Both exams are opened for only Indian citizens. 2. Candidate interested in applying should have PG degree. 3. Post graduation should be completed with at least 55 percent marks. 4. In case of SC/ST, 50 percent marks are required. 5. Even during final year of PG course, you can apply for NET/SET. 6. Please choose subject for NET related to PG course, you have completed. 7. There is no limit on appearances. 8. JRF candidate should not exceed age of 28 years. 9. However OBC candidate can take admission till 31 years. 10. SC/ST is eligible for admission till 33 years. 11. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. |
