IMDR (Institute Of Management Development and Research) conducts an admission process for admission to its two years Post Graduate Diploma in Management Program (PGDM). It was established in 1974 by Deccan Education Society and was affiliated to university of Pune until 1977 after which it became an autonomous institution. IMDR is an institute which is committed to provide quality education at a very nominal fees and equal opportunities to all the candidates therefore there is no reservation of seats, management quota or donations at IMDR.

IMDR uses CAT scores for short listing candidates for its PGDM Programs. The shortlisted candidates are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selections are made. There are 65 seats in the PGDM program of IMDR.

The course is of two years in duration and is designed in such a manner that is based on the unique design of Instructional Systems Design Methodology (ISDM) that aims at integrating different management based knowledge in more than one spectrum. Furthermore, the programs provides an excellent exposure to the candidates through different field research based opportunities along with high level of training in different prestigious organizations belonging to different levels and thus allowing the candidates to learn different applications.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with atleast 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

How to apply for PGDM program of IMDR:

Since the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores candidates have to appear for CAT. Candidates also have to apply online through the website imdr.edu. Forms are also available at selected MBA coaching centers. The application form cost around Rs. 1000/ and should be paid through a Demand Draft in favor of the Director of the institute. For Online application, the token number of the application form should be clearly mentioned at the back side of the Demand Draft.

For those candidates that are about to clear their Graduation level degree and are in the final years and appearing for the PGDM program of IMDR, the candidates have to provide a certificate that clearly mentions that he or she will be passing the final year with the minimum of marks and should be distinctly signed by the Head Master. Apart for other candidates, they have to submit the attestation copy of the mark sheets of the final year.

Selection process:

About 300 candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion. Final selection is based on a number of factors including Personal Interview, GD, Past Academic Record, Work Experience and Extracurricular activities.
